UNIOSUN murder: Court remands suspects in prison





An Osogbo Chief Magistrate Court has ordered that David Akanbi, who was alleged to have murdered Amodu  Kazeem Ige, a  400-level-student of Civil Engineering Department of the Osun State University be remanded in prison custody.
The police had on Tuesday arraigned Akanbi  before the court and charged him with conspiracy and murder.
The prosecutor, Mr. Mereti Wilson, told the court that the accused person  had on January  16th, 2017 stabbed the deceased to death with a knife thereby committing  murder.
The prosecutor said, “Akanbi David and others now at large on the 16th day of January, 2017 at about 1700hrs at Oke-Baale area, Osogbo  in the Osogbo Magisterial  District  did conspire to commit felony to wit :  murder and and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 324 of Criminal Code Cap 34. Vol II laws of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002”
