Foremost saxophonist, Kunle Ajayi, would lead other top
gospel artistes from around the world to thrill participants at this year’s 75
Hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise organised by the youth wing of the Redeemed
Christian Church of God.
The annual event designed to celebrate the goodness of God
in the life of the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, would
see thousands of youths in eight countries worshiping and praising God non-stop
for 75 hours.
According to organisers, the yearly festival, now in its
sixth edition, was conceptualised to mark the birthday and new age of ‘Daddy G.O’,
who turns 75 this month.
While unveiling plans put in place to make the programme a
success, Project Coordinator for this year’s edition, Oluwafemi Oyetunde, told
journalists that over 140 top worship leaders were expected to lead
participants in the eight countries the event would take place.
He said, “Marathon Messiah’s Praise, the world’s longest
annual non-stop gospel musical event will surely turn out bigger this year
especially considering the calibre of gospel ministers on ground to lead the line.
This year’s theme tagged ‘The Sovereign God’, is borne out of the numerous
wonderful and amazing testimonies that perfectly describe the life of Pastor
E.A. Adeboye.”
